Crying Husky

What do 2 year olds and husky's have in common??? Whining! hahaha

Stitches free :)

I was able to get Koda's stitches out a day early, and thank goodness we did! He was one happy puppy when he came out of the vet's office. He knew that he was able to be a puppy again, but little did he know that he was going to go to the doggie park that night. He was so excited to even get in the car but omg was he so excited when he realized where he was. He was like a bull out of a shoot when he got through the gates. He kept running around and was playing with every single dog there! He was so excited when he saw his husky friends there. He even made himself a little sick because he kept running around when he wasn't in his old condition. He hasn't been able to run for a little over 2 weeks so he is a little bit out of shape. Well we finally had a tired husky on our hands last night!

Furminator!!!!

Thank god for the furminator! Everyone we have talked to who owns a husky said for us to get it. Well Koda has been starting to shed little by little so we decided to break down and buy it. HOLY COW!!! We got so much fur up!!! He probably lost so much weight just by us brushing him.

1 week down 1 week to go

Well it's been a week since Koda got fixed and its been such a long week!!! He has been pent up in the house all week and we can't really take him outside to play cause of his stitches :( Our poor pup wants to go run and play but we are forced to try and keep him calm. This next week will be sooo long and all we want to do is take him to the dog park and day care. Please pray for us and hopefully Koda won't destroy anything in the mean time.

It's all fun and games until someone gets the cone

Today our little guy lost his manhood or should we say his doghood... he was neutered. We is doing good but looks so sad. He not only got neutered but he also got micro chipped, had a tooth pulled and got a could papulomas removed from his gum line. His baby tooth was preventing one of his adult teeth from coming in properly and would have made one of his K-9's move. Thank goodness our vet took a look at his mouth and decided to take an X-Ray since the tooth looked a little weird. Hopefully the adult tooth will actually grow in properly. We do have him on pain medication and doesn't seem to be in pain but he looks so sad. He is now in the cone of shame. He does not like the cone at all! It was so sad, when I went to pick him up at the vet he got excited when he saw me so he came up to me and tried to put his head in between my legs (like he always does) and he couldn't... the cone got in his way. He tried a couple of times until he got frustrated and dropped his head until the cone hit the floor. My poor boy!
Not only did he get snipped but he got shaved as well

Koda says... "I HATE THE CONE OF SHAME!"

Husky Gang

On Friday night, Jeff and I took Koda to the doggie park and oh my gosh was it awesome! There were so many huskies there and it was so much fun seeing Koda play with them. There was another pup there and she was 7 months old, all the rest were adults. Koda was almost as big as the full grown huskies... oh man is Koda going to be HUGE! His paws are still so big for him, everyone keeps saying he is going to be a really big husky when he is all done growing. All the huskies wanted to play with each other and it was like a little gang, cause if another dog tried to mess with any of them, all of them would go up to that dog and try to stick up for their fellow husky. It's funny though, cause Koda to us looks like a full grown dog and acts like one too, but when you get him around another dog who is full grown and acts like it, you can totally tell he is still a pup :) I had such a blast at the dog park that I didn't want to leave. It's night like that, that is making sad that we are leaving. Yeah we are officially moving to Seattle, Washington. We are going to be going up around mid July. It is going to be so sad to leave everyone and everything behind, especially when we are starting to get plugged into the Husky community down here. But we do know moving up there is for the best and we will have a blast once we are up there.
